Not receiving defender pokecoins

The other day I got a pop up message that one of my Pokemon has returned with 50 coins, but the coins didn’t actually show up in my coin total until about ten minutes later.

This morning, I got the same message (50 coins earned) plus two other Pokemon had returned. Now it’s been about two hours, and the coins aren’t in the account. Is anyone else seeing this?

About a week ago I had the same two Pokémon return twice in the same day, from the same gyms, with the 50 Coins message for the same Pokémon twice. I did get the coins the first time I got the return message, but not after the second return message. Maybe that's what is happening for you?
