Has anyone noticed an increase in candies from berry feeding lately?

Despite pretty heavy berrying of gyms I only used to get the odd candy, lately I have noticed receiving quite afew, chansey candies mainly from berrying my 5 Blisseys. Very welcome as I'm working on powering up number 6. Just wondering whether anyone else has noticed or there's been an announcement somewhere I've missed?

I've had a little bit more luck lately, but it may be just that- luck. It tends to only work when i'm trying to dump nanabs into pokemon i don't care about to clear up space

I'm unsure whether it's that or the GR, gonna pay closer attention as I feed both. Whichever, there's been a definite upturn in candies.

Not particularly. But it could be that your "R"NG is working in your favour right now.

Yes. Definitely. I don’t think it’s rng either. It started about a month ago and has been pretty consistent. I haven’t done a formal count, but it used to be extremely rare; now it barely raises an eyebrow.

Sorry I have to say this, but likely it's just RNG. You're one player, your sample size is small. It's perfectly normal to have a long streak of good luck without the odds of the berry drop changing, because it's random. And no, there hasn't been any announcement, Niantic never announced the original drop rate either, that's not something they do generally speaking.

No. (Almost) never got any. Still don't.

But to be honest I have been dumping more berries (to make space) than feeding them, didn't see the point. Now that you say this, I may do that and see....

I have also noticed a slight increase.

I also have recognized an increase.
From very rare (say one every 200-300 barries) to about one every 50-75. Could be random, but to me it seems very consistent so far.

With a base rate of 1/100, it's about equally likely that you get one candy for 50 berries or one candy for 200 berries (~30% odds).

Sure, but as I said, it seems consistent.
Some months ago I could load off 60 berries, hour after hour, before seeing one single candy. Today I see candies regularly, a couple of times twice in a 60 berry-batch.

It is not that unusual that Niantic adjusts drop rates and spawn rates, usually without notice, so to me it do not seem extraordinary that they could have done that here as well.

You're certainly correct about that. Our assumption of 1/100 is based on a lot of data over a fairly long time, so any adjustments they've done during that time just get averaged out. They could very well be adjusting the drop rates daily, weekly or montly, but we'll never know unless there's continuous data collection and analysis going on or we discover a way to datamine Niantic's servers (which would result in lawsuits against anyone caught doing it).

I guess what I'm trying to say is that there's no way to prove that it's anything but RNG if all we have is a few players saying they've been getting more lately, but it's always possible they do ninja adjustments that TSR research doesn't pick up on until later.
