Should I buy a Great Box? Also Kyogre question

I currently have 824 coins. I would need to get the maximum every day for the entire water festival (less 44 coins) to buy the ultra box on the last day of the event - which seems nearly impossible and doesn't let me use the rewards during the event anyways (and I think I may want the extra raid passes for Kyogre - I don't have any yet).

Is the Great Box a good value relative to previous boxes?
I was hoping to get a box with Raid Passes, Incubators, and Lucky Eggs - so this seems to be exactly what I want. However the Lure Modules may be adding some unnecessary cost, and I kind of wanted more incubators / less eggs - but I guess I can't be too picky.

On a side note:
I have almost 60 rare candy now. I was planning to turn them all into Mewtwo candy, but my Mewtwo ended up as 10/10/11 so I decided to wait until my next catch (not necessarily to power up that one, but I'd know I have one worth powering eventually and to free up bag space for community day). Now with Kyogre out, it seems to be a viable candidate for my rare candy? With two weeks to spam Kyogre raids, should I free up the bag space as soon as I catch one by converting (at least some of it) to Kyogre candy?

I also have a 96% Zapdos (15 attack) from research with the best moves. Have 24 candy. I don't think he's worth powering - or is he worth the rare candy (to try to help me get more balls --> candy from the Kyogre raids)?

Thanks!

Main note:
I have the same question.

Side note:
Mewtwo should be your priority. Are you certain you can get an EX pass sooner rather than later? If yes, then go ahead and turn that RC into Mewtwo candy. For example, I can raid in 6 elegible gyms and always get an Ex pass.

Kyogre is a good candidate. If you arent sure about getting other Mewtwos, you should power up a good Kyogre if you find it. Last time Kyogre was available, my best was 84%. I waited to power up and spent the candies somewhere else (Rayquazas, Mewtwos, Zapdos and Groudon), and now luckily I have the opportunity to catch a better one. In fact I caught a better one already today (88%). This because after Ray, came Lugia and the Lati twins. Kyogre wasn't a priority then. Do you think you will need a Kyogre in the near future? I am not sure.

Zapdos does good against Kyogre, but this depends on how you raid. Do you raid with 20 people? If you get 1 damage ball, its gonna be hard for you to get another one just with adding a Zapdos.
If you get 0 damage balls, then in my opinion you should power him up. Especially if you dont have a Raikou available to power up instead
If anyone else could elaborate on this last part I would love to hear it because I also have another Zapdos which I could invest in.

Tricky question on freeing up bag space. For some legendaries, probably not a good idea but for kyogre, I think it is a safe play to park 20-25 upon first catch.

I have a 15/12/15 maxed Kyogre, one at 28, then two at 25...caught a 14/15/15 Kyogre today and immediately put 79 rare candy into it and have that one at 25 right now. I’ll put more rare candy into Kyogre esp since shiny is a decent possibility.

The electrics come into play against Blizzard esp in mid to small groups; midday weekday raids occurring in church parking lots. Otherwise grass comes easier, it is cheaper and can perform better

Zapdos is still weak to blizzard though, due to its flying subtype - so it wouldn't be better than Grass from that respect. I don't have a Raikou unfortunately.

I have some Exeggs, but they're double weak to ice too. Otherwise a single Venusaur and Jolteon are all I have to go to.
