Any nonsteel/poison Fairy counters?

I dont have any steel types, sans 1 98IV aggron, are there any other pokemon that arent Steel or poison that can learn those type of moves and would be good at countering fairy raid bosses?

Edit: Level 32, I have no legendaries of any worth aside from moltres and zapdos; I have 2ho-oh, the bird trio (in 2 days) and the lati's thats it, to please do not suggest legendaries of than those if aplicable

Just get stronger neutral counters. Steel is underpowered offensively and Poison is one of the least useful types. (Looking at you, Bug).

EDIT: missed that you were discussing raids and not gym clearance.1

Bug's going to get a lot better when volcarona comes out, its just gen 1-4 was know for...trash bug types, with the any real good ones being scyther/scizor, pinsir, and heracross (which is a f*cking regional exclusive), I was trying to get a scizor, but after I realized I had as few larvitar candy as I do, I switched (even if I need to rarecandy for smackdown, it's be worth it to me)

Raikou was great against Azumarill. Try Moltres against Mawile

Dont have raikou, and been using that on mawile, though blast burn Charizard kinda makes the bird obsolete

You won't find non-stab, double steel or poison moveset pokemon that aren't weak to Fairy.
Fire or water mon should do the job just fine though.

Or exploit the weakness coming with the secondary type.

Thanks, I was thinking of maybe using some iron head Tauros I have, they're where I live all the time and have really freaking high CP, 2k+, I know tauros isn't good, but its the best I got, would those work, somewhat?

Iron head Tauros is still worse than Fire or electric against Mawile and Azumarill respectively. If I add it to my box in pokébattler, it won't even be listed amongst the counters at all.

I don't know whether you want to attack a raid Azumarill or Mawile, but just go with Fire or Electric (Fire even resists fairy). That is the cheapest route and both will have use in the future. Steel is pretty much doomed for eternity. (No, I haven't looked at all generations and their counters already).

Steel is pretty strong, its just the good steel types arent out yet, aside from metagross and scizor, both of which are kinda hard to get, and likely metagross isnt a good option as theres going to be a metagross event within the year if the CD trend keeps up

I mean useful in the way that there aren't many pokémon in gyms that I can counter with steel. There are two legendaries in Gen V that are weak to steel, that is a good start but that also means Steel was useless for 4 Generations (rock types usually faced better counters).

True, steel's only real use at present is fairy types, just because thats all they can cover, because most poison types arent that good, and gendar has more desirable movesets for ghost/pschic countering, not poison type offesne

Sludge Bomb gengar has the highest DPS into pure fairy types and also resists fairy moves. The fast moves can be a mixed bag, it double resists normal (pound) but is weak to dark (bite/snarl) and psychic (confusion/zen headbutt).

Really the best bet is simply high nuetral DPS counters like fire, water, electric, etc. Dragon, dark and fighting are the only high DPS counters to avoid (bug isn't considered high DPS).

Oh forgot steel wing+ hurricane/hyper beam dragonite as a good option vs non-fairy charge moves.

Poison Jab/Steel Wing/Flash Cannon/Gyro Ball Mew is an option.

Mine's got PJ/Psyshock and I enjoy it quite a bit. No synergy, but I like using moves I don't normally get access to via meta-Mon.

Double Poison Victreebel or Tentracruel are pretty decent against Granbull with Fairy move. It's not like either is hard to come by.

High DPS fire types, especially in clear weather, make excellent counters to fairy types because fire resists fairy moves. So Fire Spin/Overheat Flareon and Fire Spin/Blast Burn Charizard are excellent counters against Granbull, assuming that's what you need them for. If that Moltres is powered up, by all means use it too.

Machamp

BP/HS Machamp deals SE damage to Fairy-types, but also takes SE damage from them.

You don't have Poison attackers? Wait you don't have any Roselias?

Victreebel is very well poison attacker and Bellsprout are fairly common.

Tyranitar, Ursaring come to mind. Strong fire types like Flarion and Charizard are an option.

I was going to post about IT/SE Tyranitar until I scrolled to the very end. Surprisingly ok fairy counter and especially nice for people with limited resources who may not have TMs to spend on everything.
