Overview
It is possible to duo Latias in wind with very high level Shadows such as Shadow Salamence and Shadow Dragonite, and Dragons such as Rayquaza and Palkia. Outrage is nearly impossible to beat without extremely deep Dragon teams (no time to revive), but the other two charged moves are achievable with excellent teams.
That said, an overwhelming majority of the player base doesn’t have the team and/or weather to get the duo done. So instead this guide will focus on the unboosted trio. There are plenty of viable options, but be aware of charged moves. Latias’s Outrage is brutal and can quickly force you back in the lobby to revive.
Approach
Team composition
-
If you want to try the duo, try to use Shadow Salamence and Shadow Dragonite for their huge DPS
-
Rayquaza, Salamence, and Haxorus are the VIPs of this fight
-
Palkia, Dragonite, Garchomp, and Darkrai are options that can make great filler or second team members, an can excel in the proper weather conditions
-
Gengar and Chandelure are glassy and have low DPS for the typical Glass Cannon role, but still usable.
-
Dialga is the prime anchor for this battle. Its DPS is a bit lower than the top names, but it can help when it comes to keeping from having to relobby.
-
Outrage will rip through your teams, dragons or not. The big fairy types (Gardevoir, Togekiss, Granbull) aren’t good enough to trio in unboosted but are good anti-Outrage options in cloudy
Dodging strategy
-
If running out of time, dodge less. If having to relobby multiple times, dodge more.

Definitely a strong contender, Shadow Tyranitar is a very decent Pokemon when fighting Psychic Type movesets in particular.
