Lick/Body Slam Snorlax
I hatched a Snorlax with lick/body slam moveset the other day. It would probably be a decent attacker, but I already have a lick/hyperbeam Snorlax at 2735 cp for attacking. Could this Snorlax be used as a good defender? Is it worth it to power up and put in gyms?

L/BS Snorlax is the best attacking snorlax and one of the best generalist attacker period. TBH, move sets for defenders are overrated because gyms are easy as hell to take down no matter what mons with any move sets are in it unless there are 10 Chanseys. Offensive move sets are much more important. That being said, I personally still want perfect defensive move set mons because they are desirable for their on-paper stats and ranking from sites like this. But in the real world gym AI is so awful that a level 10 gym full of 100 IV maxed out Snorlaxes with ZH/BS or HB will be taken down by high level trainers. In fact they will get taken down quick because the gym will be a target for having so many snorlaxes. I've seen it. I placed my snorlax on top of a level 9 gym with all snorlaxes to make it level 10. Shit went down in a couple of days.
My experience is different. I have a ZH/HB, ZH/BS, and a L/BS. For attacking I find L/BS to be the best and most versatile. Lick happens so fast that dodging is much more efficient and possible. Body Slam is the same thing. Doesn't hit for a wallop like Hyper Beam, but it (like Lick) is so quick and efficient that you're always open to dodge unless you make a mistake.
I have a full pokedex and a number of fantastic attackers, for me the L/BS Snorlax is simply the best overall attacker in the game. So much bang for so quick of an attack moveset with L/BS..all wrapped up in one bad hombre of base stats.
What are the ivs? I powered up my 91% iv Snorlax L/BS. It's fun to use as an attacker and while lick may not be great defensively body slam does good damage as there is a very short window to dodge it. But honestly any Snorlax will be a great defender because of its high defence and HP stats. So yeah if it has good ivs I would power it up.
Any Snorlax will be a great defender, regardless of moveset. Its most important function is to scare away players from the gym - it's not like any half-decent player would be unable to take down one with Zen Headbutt if he wanted to.
Lick has the big advantage of making your Snorlax a versatile attacker. My "big" Snorlaxes all have L+BS and they do very well (better than any other of my mons) when I leave them as defenders, while being amazing generalist attackers as well.
As the others have said, L/BS is amazing on attack. I personally find this to be the most fun offensive mon currently in the game. I tend to really get into battles (always trying to appreciate which moves the opponent has) and no matter what moveset I am dealing with, L/BS can handle it.
