Catching Treecho or Mudkip

I also haven't seen a Mudkip in a solid minute, even when it is rainy weather here. But, during sunny weather, I usually might spot around 3-5 Treecko around my area.

I just recycle that mission as soon as I get it, usually takes too long to complete. I only keep the ones that are easy to complete fast or have a really good prize.

Mudkip are pretty common in Toronto. I would have said Treecko were much rarer but then a nest popped in the park I went to for the last community day. Torchic on the other hand are very rare around here.

I'm fortunate to live in an area with quite a few Mudkips and also some Treecko. I have over 1200 Mudkip candy and over 600 Treecko candy.

So that "quest" isn't a challenge for me. At the moment I'm stuck on catching three fire Pokemon. I used to see Vulpix every now and then, but at the moment there's not a single fire Pokemon around. The worst part is that I've got two of that quest, so I might have to delete them tomorrow, even though I really don't want to.

I just evolved my first Mudkip last week, never see them but hatched a 15a 98% and glad to be done with worrying about finding a good one. To be fair caught 125 Squirtle and 125 Tododile---not that many considering 33,000 catches. Caught 135 Treeckos. Caught 27 Mudkip

Near my work I see Mudkip every day several times, no nests, Treecko time to time, and Torchic simply never since the Gen3-only event. I guess this task is a good one in our biome, but it must be frustrating for others.
