Do reward mons get better as you progress in research?

The reward mons I got are pretty low level, less than lvl 20. I'm done for the day as all my quests now involve raids and it's past curfew where I live.

All reward mons I've seen so far were level 15, including a Larvitar and a Ninetales, same for all my friends tonight.

I got a Grimer and a Houndoom so far, didn't get a chance to play much but this is going to be great for finding mons that don't spawn in your biome.

Pokemon Go is starting to shape up like a real game now. If they fix the dodge glitch and give us a comprehensive raid scanner, I'll have nothing to bitch about for a long time

You mean as you progress through daily stamps? If so, I'll reply in a week

That is how it works. I was able to get the second stamp as soon as the date changed here.

My assumption so far is that you can do "field research" until you're blue in the face but you're not going to progress towards mew until you complete all of the special "tasks". Am I wrong?
