First Ex-Raid- a few questions about Mewtwo

This Saturday I will have my first ex-raid. For this reason I have some questions about preparation, battle with mewtwo, and what to do with mewtwo after catching him.
1. Preparation- this is my pokebox
https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/user/76476
And this is pokemons i want to use against Mewtwo:
1. Tyranitar 3088cp lvl30 Bite/ Crunch
2. Houndoom 2155cp lvl30 Snarl/ Foul Play
3. Gengar 2236cp lvl30 Hex/ Shadow Ball
4. Banette 1751cp lvl30 Shadow Claw/ Shadow Ball
5. Pinsir 2358cp lvl30 Bug Bite/ X-Scizzor
6. Scizor 2355cp lvl30 Fury Cutter/ X-Scizzor
Someone think this is good? Or maybe change somethink?
2. Battle- overfall, how hard is battle against mewtwo? I know that mewtwo have highest attack stat in game, but how it look like when he is raid boss? I need to dodge only charge or maybe try to dodge some quick moves too?
3. After catch- IF I CATCH MEWTWO (he is easy to catch, have high base catch rate, but after all, catch rate isn't 100%) and he will be have 82%+ IV (thats enough for me, and considering that i get ex-pass i am sure that i get another one in future, so i can have chance to catch another) what moveset will be better? I consider only two movesets:
Confusion/ Shadow Ball- generalist, highest neutral DMG
Confusion/ Psychic- specialist, highest psychic type DMG
I don't consider Focus Blast moveset because i have strong team of fighting type mons (see in my pokebox). Looking at my pokemons, which moveset will be better for first mewtwo?

1. You're ok. As long as you get 6-7 people with a similar team as yours, you should be able to complete the raid. Note that depending on boss moveset, Dragonite might be better than Gengar or Banette a lot of the time since the ghosts are so squishy, even though their DPS is good.

2. Varies a lot based on the moveset. Confusion from Mewtwo hits like a truck dropped from orbit, Psycho Cut on the other hand pretty much just tickles your attackers. The charged move makes quite a difference too. With your team, PC/HB is the easiest moveset and C/FB is the hardest. If it has Confusion, dodging quick moves is a good idea with Gengar and Banette.

3. I'd go with C/SB. C/P is a really small niche and C/SB is just fine against the main target of C/P, Machamp. Additionally, C/SB can be FTMd to PC/SB to get one of the best anti-psychic specialists in the game.

1. Raid another tyranitar and power it up to level 25 or 30 and replace the gengar or banette with it. Gengar dies to 3 confusions and banette i don't know but i think it's too frail.

2. Mewtwo is not very hard especially while your status is clearly not optimal, you will likely be invited to join a private group to drive away spoofers and to maximize balls, and other people in that group will have way more optimal equipment (Like 6 Tyranitars and 6 Dragonites) and they should be able to do the job for you with your cooperation. Just do your best here and don't get intimidated. That only applies to shadow ball, hyper beam and psychic. But if it has focus blast it's a lot harder since it will kill your tyranitars instantly. You may have to dodge some moves and use dragonites to replace tyranitars.

3. Confusion/Shadow Ball is better than Confusion/Psychic due to it having 2 bars and having stronger effect on more types of raid bosses. It's utterly and completely horrible for gyms however so if you attack gyms a lot to place defenders (Which is unlikely), you can use psychic because it's not as commonly resisted. Since i don't think you will attack gyms, i think you should go for confusion/shadow ball.

Your team is fine but chances are that other people raiding with you will be using an autoselect team so be prepared to go back in with a 2nd battle party after Mewtwo cuts you down.

Also show up early and flip the gym if possible!

You'll be fine. On a Saturday there should be plenty of people to defeat Mewtwo easily. I caught mine with the first ball (my daughter caught my other one while I was at work). I TM'd both of mine to C/SB, and am investing rare candy in my better one (82%, the other one is 76%) to power him up. He's good, but can be a glass cannon!

Good luck with your EX raid, it should be fun. Give us an update!

1) Check weather forecast and look on https://www.pokebattler.com/raids
Compare different comon weather in your area and look at the top counters for each moveset. Some highlights:

- Tyranitar is the best overall counter, falling short only against Focus Blast. B/C and B/S will both work incredibly well. Even against Focus Blast, you might lead off with a B/C Tyranitar.
- Gengar is only usable against Hyper Beam and Focus Blast. It can do well against Psycho Cut with either of those moves, but is much weaker against Confusion.
- Flying-type generalists like Dragonite and Moltres can be very effective choices against Focus Blast if you don't have enough other counters that are resistant to fighting. Especially if they have a weather boost.

2) Get there on time. If there are enough people, you should be able to split into groups by team so everyone can get a few extra balls.

If you want to reliably flip the gym, you'll need to get there a lot earlier. Possibly several hours.

3a) Check your catch medal for psychic-type pokemon. If you are close to the next rank, try to catch a lot of psychic pokemon before the raid date.
If you are not already using curveballs, start now and practice a lot. Curve balls give a huge boost to catch rate.
When you get to the catch screen, you can hold down the ball and watch when the catch circle disappears and reappears to get a feel for the timing of its attack animations.
Aim for a medium size catch circle at first, then go for smaller after you get a better feel for the distance. Hitting a catch circle at half size is better than missing the circle at quarter size.

dont be scared to seperate groups by team , if you have 3 players with 3 high lvl tyrantars and 3 of the other good counters even a boosted mewtu without focus blast will suffer. if its focus i'd team up at least 4 players. if youre not sure mix the smallest groups this means at least 1 or 2 bonus balls. AND: take over and defend the arena if you can! 2275 mewtu and 6-7 balls = not cool

if youre unsure : make a try first: the others sure will wait the 4 min until you made sure if you were successfull. if you were not you can still team up with another color or maybe a group of them (20 mystic/6Valor/3 Instinct= instinct can team up with valor or 4-5 mystics so mystic gains 3, instinct 2 bonus balls, just joining the big group wd cause 0-1 max)

Focus on glass cannons imo. I joined the kid group the last raid. We were 9 people. I used 1x2500CP SC/SB gengar, 3x3500CP tyranitars if I remembered correct, around 1/3 of the time used. I'm definitely going even more glassy this saturday:

gengar SC/SB 2500
gengar H/SB 2500
Mewtwo 2700 C/SB
3xTyrantitar 3500.
