I do about 1 raid a day and I have 50 fast TM. I tossed away all evo items now.

I think the best usage of them is 2 ways:

1. To save it for 'evolve pokemon' so that you have 1/3 chance of rolling the right moves instead of 1/6 chance (For example, if you evolved a walrein for rayquaza purposes, you only need to hit the blizzard for the jackpot, as you don't have to worry about the fast move. You can then just use your extra TM to get the ice quick move too.

2. To change the move of the pokemon just for the purpose of a particular raid and back after it is over. The most significant case for this is Iron Tail/Stone Edge Ttar against Articuno, which outperforms Bite/Stone Edge but it doesn't exist anymore. This would require having the optimal quick move against a particular boss being suboptimal 'normally'.

Some of my previous uses also included Suicune to see what hidden power it has and behold I have an army of legacy suicune now, for what it's worth.

I'll save some for now and they may be useful but if you're in the ballpark of 30+ and struggle to use them, then maybe you can chuck some away.

Agreed with this post. My eye is on Pokemon like Lugia (DT for Ray/Mewtwo, Extrasensory for general use) and Groudon (DT for budget Ray tank, Mud Shot for anything decent)

Additionally, this allows one to try out the feel for quick moves to see how they like them, ie Psycho Cut/Confusion on Mewtwo, Fury Cutter/Bullet Seed on Sceptile, Fury Cutter/Bullet Punch on Scizor.

DT for Groudon has been better so far because close to max it dealt more damage against Kyogre than Mud Shot due to a breakpoint. Generally speaking they are pretty much equal in neutral situations but obviously DT doesn't benefit from the same weather boost so I'd go for MS.

I don't even know why this is a question / problem.

Can't you just use it on ALL your pokemons?? Even Pidgeot and Shuckle deserve the best fast move!!

Most pokemons are very depended on the charge move to have anything you could call a good moveset.

And looking up the optimal moveset for a bunch of pokemons I'll never use is just a waste of time imo.

You remind me of my friend. He has tons of cTM and fTM but not willing to use any, then he complained to me that he has too many of these.

I told him to TM his legendaries to the best moveset, then he said he only needed to TM 1 or 2 legendaries, not all.

If you don't want to use TMs, then for God's sake don't complain there are too many. Ah well, at least I managed to convince him to TM his P/HB blissey.

A buddy of mine has 1500 item bag but keeps coming to the limit, he is holding onto 175 rare candies. No reason why imo, hasn't powered up Mewtwo, Kyogre, Groudon, etc, etc. Nothing else coming more deserving, at least store rare candies in Mewtwo/Kyogre

He's holding onto a lot of other stuff too if he's close to full with only 175 rare candies. I have 200 rare candies and 300 free space.

I know many see in it a sacrilege but I toss them too.
Most pokémon only have 2 fast moves. What to do? With time they are more useless than a small potion

It might be worth going through to get matching type attacks on “decent” Pokémon. The other day I was thumbing through my poison types and realized that none of my wheezing have a poison fast move....and now they never will. So I went ahead and FTMed my two Muks, just in case.

I just changed my Hypnos from ZH to Confusion. Now looking for other obvious choices...

I’m in a similar boat with 35 FTMs and 31 CTMs. I keep waiting for a move reshuffle, but not sure when that will occur. You can always TM your Starmies looking for that elusive double rock combo with Hidden Power/Power Gem.

I just changed my best Slowbro to Confusion to go along with Ice Beam. Have a 100% level 28 Arbok that had Bite, switched it. If you REALLY look you can find ways to switch something and likely improve it

As I keep changing inconsequential things, I'm thinking of other potential possibilities. Maybe legendaries become eligible to defend gyms later in the year? If they did, are there any level 20s you would switch to a more defensive fast move?

My bag is 800 and I'd never consider trashing a TM. I keep a mix of about 300 Pokeballs at all times, 300 healing items, 70 Golden Razz and then the rest for TMs, Passes, and a few Star Pieces. I use Rare Candy immediately cause I always have something that needs it.

I also think it's possible that Legendaries may be re-released with other movesets - would love to see Kyogre get Dragon Tail back, DT/Bliz would crush flying dragons, and DT/Thunder might even have good uses too.

Remember when Gyarados got Waterfall, everyone changed all theirs over almost on the spot. That could happen again, with many other mon.
