Ex-Raid Invitation!!

So, this is my first question. All of you have helped in improve my playing experience a lot. I just wanna know I thing, which, I know must have been asked a lot of times. But I hope that you all could help. I havn't got any Ex-raid invitation yet, although I have done raid at many sponsored gyms. So I would really appreciate if you can tell me how to get one. I like Mewtwo so much and desperately want him. Thank you guys!!!!!

Having gold at that gym helps, and also doing raids frequently. It doesn't matter if small or big raids. When I had my Ex invite, I didn't even see the gym as sponsored but I got invited to it.

I'll tell you something interesting that does not answer your question directly. I felt the same way for a long time, and finally got an invitation to an EX Raid a week ago. I caught an 82% IV Mewtwo, I TM'd him to Confusion / Shadow Ball (which every website says is his A moveset) and now I'm not sure what to do w him :)

Eliminating Alakazam and Gengar as raid bosses certainly hurt his usefulness in the near term. He was a natural for those matchups. He is also very good against Machamp and Jynx, though.

But with double psychic moveset, right? Not with Confusion/Shadow Ball

If you have a group of players in your area who work together you can always try to trigger an EX raid by focusing on an EX eligible gym and do as many raids there as you can.

We've tried it in my area four times and been successful every time. Unfortunately for me I've failed to raid on two of those, so I missed out. I was also unlucky for tomorrows EX raids. I had done several raids there but didn't get an invite (nobody is after all guaranteed an invite), but somehow managed to get one for an EX raid at another place where I've only done one raid.

Also, not sure if there's a bigger chance to get an EX raid and an invite at a sponsored gym or a regular one. We've only tried to trigger raids at a normal gym so far.

Devote yourself exclusively to ex-raid eligible gyms! Attack, defend, do raids only on those (feed them with berries, even if you already got gold medal there).
Going for my 6th Mewtwo, at least this has worked for me so far.

Find out what the ex-eligible gyms in you area are. Go there on weekends (but no must), the best is 2 days before the next Mewtwo raid in your area (at any gym) and raid anything there. So basically, raid very close to the next time the gym will give out passes.

I've had some luck with choosing raids at the sponsored gyms that *SEEM* to be raided the most that week.

For example, my group usually only does raids at sponsored gyms if there is a t5 there. So if I see a lot of tier 5s pop up at that gym during that week, doing a raid there often gets me in.

Gym badge bonus helps, but if your area has a lot of sponsored gyms best to get them silver ASAP since silver can be accomplished quickly, unlike gold.
