Steel Wing + Outrage Dragonite on Gym Defense

Is it viable as a gym defender (besides Blissey, Snorlax, Chansey and Slaking)?

Also, is it a Zen Headbutt + Hyper Beam Blissey okay?

What about a Bite + Hydro Pump Gyarados for a sixth defender? I know it has its limitations - double weakness, for example - but I live in a low to medium density area and my Gyarados is fully evolved for my level (level 30), and it also is high IV.

Note that at level 30 I've only evolved or was able to capture/hatch one Blissey, one Dragonite and one Gyarados. My city really lacks on good Pokémon.

At least I have a decent Snorlax and a really good Slowbro, both with ideal move sets.

Steel Wing, Outrage Dragonite: falls fast to ice of course, otherwise great for dishing out damage before fainting and stops Machamp

Any Blissey is fine

Gyarados is not a defender but will hold its own VS the most popular attackers with Dragon-type moves, even Hydropump, and stops Machamp. If by “Dark” you’re referring to Bite, that is a bad move for defense and should be TM’d for the future due to its now superior quick moves

Your Gyarados is also interchangeable with Slowbro for similar bulk and Slowbro learning Confusion as well as Ice Beam

If your city lacks great Pokémon then you can bank on other players having similar arsenals, therefore having similar counters to yours. Use that too

My bad, it's Bite, of course. And thanks!

About Slowbro, I already have a Confusion + Ice Beam one.
