Too Many annoying questions

People here asking about whether or not their pokemon is useful or not are really annoying.

can there be a separate page for this? it is not a real question about the mechanics of the game or tips and strategy question and it really only helps the person asking the question. meanwhile real questions about mechanics can help more than 1 person especially if the Q&A section had a search feature.

reading all the questions about whether pokemon are good or not is so annoying and childish, people need to figure that stuff on their own. And yet, because i still think people will ask about their pokemon. can the site at least make a seperate page. because asking about your own pokemon is very popular that is fills the Q&A up. i swear every other day the same question pops up, "should i keep this dratini or this other dratini?" geez figure it out. if you really follow this sites stats and rating system, which can be found easily. just follow their suggested movesets. think for yourselves for once and use this website as a tool, not an answer machine.

I understand your point, but I don't think it's fair for you to call people and their questions annoying and childish. Some people are just not entirely sure about some things so they look to the community for answers. That's one of the great things about being a part of a community, you help each other out.

Even reading over some things, people may not understand the game on as much of a deep level as other players. There are a lot of people who play PoGo that are new to Pokemon entirely, and they'd sure have a lot of specific questions.

It could definitely beneficial to split the Q&A into more general questions and specific questions about raising Pokemon or understanding how specific Pokemon could potentially work. I think having a second Q&A page with a more particular, dedicated purpose wouldn't be too unreasonable of a task.

I'm not sure if they have the resources available for this, but I feel like having a forum would be the best option, with similar sections. It would be better for actual discussion and not just simple Q&A.

It's the same everywhere, take stack exchange for example. No one's allowed to ask anything unless (s)he's gone through an endless amount of archived threads trying to find an answer for a specific question, which will be tagged as too specific before you get an answer. Typing a new question takes less time and you'll get the answer immediately, or would if most of the boards weren't just power and ego boosting trips for the modenazis.

its childish because there is so much info in this site. info like OPTIMAL MOVESET FOR BOTH OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE, DEFENDER TIER LIST, OFFENSIVE TIER LIST, IV CALCULATOR

these are tools readily available and i doubt any person asking questions like those are checking them and they are fairly simple to understand.

there has to be a point where you stop holding someones hand throughout the process.

the way i see it, people asking the question are scared of messing or trying to show off that they have a nice pokemon

  1. yeah i see the point, is it worth evolving this strong iv pokemon? people may be scared because it costs candy right... BUT C'MON, candy comes and goes strong iv pokemon come and go. newsflash you can have two of the same pokemon. you can have two of the same pokemon that are strong.
  2. i honestly believe people want to show off their pokemon, whether they are awesome or not. And i get it, ive showed off to my friends, ive been the guy like. oh hey thats awesome iv dratini,

I have also showed off my horrible iv arcanine because its funny that it had horrible ivs but ive been using it really well for exegcutors and then just for other neutral battles. aaaaand then i got another horrible iv arcanine, i used both of them. i didnt throw one away. i have a third horrible iv arcanine.. guess what i use the three arcanines because i myself found a role for them, they can fulfill a purpose like most other pokemon and it annoys me that people ask whether their pokemon are worth having or not. You have to decide how well that poekmon fits in your team.

it is such a ridiculous question to ask anyways because asking online whether your pokemon is worth keeping will only get you theoretical answers. its not like we have all the info of your PoGo account. to answer that question correctly people would have to know how much candy they have of that pokemon, stardust, if they have another of that pokemon, if they have another pokemon of that type, is that one stronger, pokemon have a better moveset, do other pokemon perform that pokemons job better, can you catch this pokemon again later (most definitely yes) or evolve one again, how well do you fight in gym battles, do you even do gym battles, the type advantages of the local gym pokemon,

i mean the person should find out for themselves if the pokemon is worth keeping. just figure it out. its honestly not hard, please read and try to understand things. If you have a question about a mechanic ask about that mechanic. what i am afraid of is that people asking these questions will never learn how to judge for themselves. There are just so many resources to understand the game and pokemon stats.. by asking on the Q&A people will just spoonfeed them the answer.

very childish.

Dude, You do realize that you spent valuable time and mental energy ranting on and on about other PoGo players having annoying and childish questions that basically clutter your desired function of a message board?? Seriously??? ?? You may need a time out.
For the record I stopped reading your posts after a few childish and annoying sentences, but the replies were pretty decent. Peace out!

I agree with the OP. The epic-length rant about it was a bit excessive, but I've had the same irritation while reading through the Q&As.

The purpose of this site is to explain game mechanics. After doing some research, people should be able to make their own informed decisions.

If you're not good at reading comprehension, and data processing/decision making, then ask your friends that play Pokemon GO.

No one here wants to hear about your 82% IV Eevee that you're not sure if you should evolve or not.

Possible solution: have moderators remove all such questions. Or just allow people to flag them, and auto remove if they get enough flags.
