Houndoom vs Umbreon
OK so this has probably been answered before, but I cannot find a decent answer.
We all know Houndoom with Snarl and Foul play is a worthy counter, but why is this preferred over Umbreon? Same move's and you would assume Umbreon can be powered up higher...

Umbreon is an annoying Gym Defender that lasts long overnight and has good moves for defending (lowish speed and a early-window cooldown).
Don't be fooled. There are better Gym Defense options. Only remotely useful against a gym that is being swept by a Mewtwo or a low-level peasant using an Espeon/Alakazam (A great early option for sweeping Blisseys etc). Even then a Tyranitar with Iron Tail will serve better for its superior moves, stats, and diverse type options.
