Revive drought

Since Niantic has taken the liberty of nerfing the drop rate for revives, what creative ways have you come up with? I only use Blissey to battle/take gyms cause she can soak up damage.

Same as always... crud high CP that’ll transfer as soon as they come back in gyms i’m already gold in, switch off mons before they faint in gym battles. Spend revives exclusively on the raid battle fallen.

Use junk pokemons. This game isn't about using your highest cp mons. This game is about using low cp junks pokemons. For an example, i catch many rats, use them to battle, evolve to get full health again, then battle again. There are tons of junks out there, just catch them and throw them at the gyms or place them in there to get coins

This. Basically whatever mon is common in your area (for me eevee and teddiursa) just catch a bunch and evolve into 1 time gym fighters.

I still throw them out in bulks of 30 or more at a time. Like to keep them below 100 since I’m not needing to revive as much Pokémon as I’m getting too many of them per day. Plus I have way too many max potions and max revives that I almost never use so they’re starting to take up a lot space in my inventory. Over 400 item space in my inventory is taken up by those two items alone.
Rather have a surplus of those two items than a surplus of revives plus potions. They get the job better much more efficiently.

can you blissey win over the defending blissey??

btw, between blissey and slaking, which is a better gym attacker?

Blissey can't win Blissey in time. L40 Blissey has 104.4s time to win against L30 Blissey.

Slaking is faster than Blissey, can barely beat a L30 Blissey defender.

I'm still throwing revives away regularly, same with all potions. Raids and spinning gyms drops so many healing items.

As for attacking gyms, if you have a powered Lugia or Ho-Oh that would be a much better option than Blissey. They are very tanky and potion efficient and do decent DPS unlike Blissey so you don't spend 30 minutes taking a gym down.

If you can find an area with many gyms nearby and get your badges for those gyms up to gold, farming in that area will provide ample potions and revives.

Same here...I dont play the game very often anymore. I just use the raidpass and put my pokémon in gyms that are already my colour. But Kyogre is out now so I do more raids but dont have revives for it. My strategy is now
1) recent bs pokémon as defenders
2) no normal gym attacks
3)bs pokémon for raids (if enough)
4) When its tougher than potion efficent line up

Solo raids are also not too good but i wont stop with them

Spin the gym stops, and almost everyone that you spins gives you a revive. Usually the gyms your team is controlling give more stuff, but that's how I always get receives now. Better than using my max revives or buying them. Fighting gym bosses give a ton of potions that I have to always throw away, but beating gym bosses rarely give any revives.
