So what do you have trouble sending to the Professor?

Its snowing outside and I'm looking at my pokedex trying to decide what is it to clean out.

For me it's really hard to send a Vaperon/Evolved Mon to Professor.

Like I am looking at 3 Vaperons with under 80% IVs in 1200-1400 range that I can't use on my Prestige team because they have Water Pulse.

I also have trouble with High IVs but Junk Moves. Like a Rhydon thats 97% with Rocksmash/Megahorn.

So how coldly efficient are you, or are you a hoarder too?

I use them to attack Gyms and then when they lose, send them to the professor. When I am taking Gyms, I put strong Pokemon on the first few and then put throw aways on the last ones I take because I will lose them in a few hours anyway and don't have to revive.

I'm a terrible hoarder, although I did finally get rid of one of the three Arcanines with Bite/Bulldoze.

I keep all rare & high IV, yes even my Jolteon with Discharge. You never know what will change in the future.

But I would send away those Vaps, with low CP and pulse they are useless and you will never power them up because of their IV.

I have kept all my dittos (6 now?) and all my Chanseys (5/6?).

I tend to always send things I can get again (Eevee evolutions) or common to my area.

I figure you only need so many high CP attackers with bad IVs (Vaps/Arcanines for me) so those are quick to go...Send 2000 Arcanines all the time.

I am too scared to send anything that's the final evolution with a high CP or iv in case we get a chance to reroll movesets.

Anything with funny cps. Drowzee and abra with 420, Nidorans with 666, snorlax with 40, stuff like that..

Wel....I'm a Hoarder too I think.
I've got lots of Mons with high CP and medium IV's, but don't wanna get rid of them.
I wanna save them till Gen2 arrives, then filter them out.

Set an IV standard for yourself, along with rules for "garbage movesets."

  1. I only keep mons with 90% IV except Snorlax, Lapras, and Chansey who are much more rare.
  2. I only keep three of top attacking and two of top defensive moveset mons (per GamePress tier lists).
  3. I only keep one of each other moveset variation for each Pokémon.

As a collector I enjoy setting a standard, grinding for the standard, and replacing mons incrementally per that standard. Collecting, along with powering up certain mons/teams is what makes it fun for me.

Don't hoard unnecessarily!

I have problems with transferring vaporeons as well. Aside from the top one none of them have hydro-pump so with bad movesets they don't even make great trainers. Can't bring myself to transfer any of them though.

The other day I got rid off all my high IV No-Purpose-Trashmons (50+). I mean I have one Kingler at 1923, I don't need six others at 16xx. I also got rid off perfectly useable Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon, because I don't want to have my Pokedex full of them. A couple is more than enough.

I did, for whatever reasons, max my limit on Pokémon out but I never like to keep more than 200. I'd like to know each Pokémon move I've got without having to nickname them.
