Kyogre catch technique

Any tips? And what other wild Pokemon hav a similar distance and/or movement to Kyogre when trying to catch (for some practise before some more Kyogre encounters)

There isn't much unfortunately, Maybe Scyther or Gengar. However the difference is the leviathan's hitbox is much more off so it's much harder to score greats.

Be patient, do the locking method, wait until it attacks in the centre, it may take a few minutes but you will have a higher catch rate

Sometimes you will still blatantly miss him for some reason because his hitbox is very confusing.

Thats not the case with kyogre. His hit box is so fcked up. It is so hard to throw. Even for me... A guy with 80 k catches. And if phone lags even a bit throw misses.

Hit boxes in general are fcked it. Try hitting execute's hit box on the bottom. You cant because even you land inside circle ball hits the ground.

So yea kyogre is worse then lugia i m afraid.

Reminds me of some Mantines catches. It seems Kyogre is almost at the same distance and moves the same way horizontally.

Definitely the hardest legendary to catch since Moltres for me.

Actually yea. Almost the same but kyogre stays way more behind.

Probably Chinchou is a similar one

Nope chinchou is very easy to throw greats at and isn't that confusing to figure out. This is more like Gengar or Scyther but also above the ground more.

PokeAK make a good video about it :)

Kyogre's movements are like Mantine and it's hitbox reminds me of Venusaur in terms of distance and difficulty getting an Excellent.

Hard, hard, hard! I was lucky because I didn't come across any high CP ones today so I was able to experiment with no pressure.

At first I was struggling with it in the centre. It felt like throwing it far enough meant it was in the air for a long time and so the the curve took it past the target.

So I tried waiting for it to settle on the right and throwing almost straight up so the curve would bend it onto the mon. That worked well and I caught my first one like that.

After that I went back to throwing while it was in the centre and managed to get a feel for the balance of speed/curve.

None of that guarantees it will stay in the ball, of course!

If you've got a steady hand, turn on AR. You can position yourself on it even if it moves to the side.
