How would Magneton with Spark/DC against Kyogre?

When someone else asked about counters to Blizzard Kyogre, I replied "Magneton with Spark/Discharge and Ludicolo with RL/Solar". That was intended as a joke and got downvoted.

However, I do have a level 30 Magneton with Spark/DC, which destroyed many Gyaradoses under the old system. As I have only one Raikou and no Zapdos (was on hiatus then), I genuinely wonder how Magneton would fare against Kyogre.

Not just Blizzard; Magneton is also resistant to DT and Thunder. Changi Village also spawns Magnemites by the dozen (unless weather has messed that up too) so I could make trips there to farm high-level wonders if I wanted.

Resist blizzard or not it is still going to get smashed in one shot by kyogre. Taking that into account, the damage output is underwhelming.

Jolteons, Zapdos are taken out just as easily by blizzard but their DPS makes them worth more.

Raikou has 9 more attack than Jolteon. So by your property of equivalence, Magneton=Jolteon=Raikou?

Spark/Discharge is about the sane as Thunder Shock/Thunderbolt. So Magneton is a little bit worse than Jolteon in DPS.
Raikou is a totally different question.

Anyway, Discharge is legacy for Magneton.

Sad to know that I cannot farm any more, but at least I can use my only one. (I suppose Zap Cannon, as a one-bar move, is far less useful against Kyogre.)

PokeBattler has Kyogre's predicted nerfed stats.

Against unknown moveset with rain, Magneton is 6th -- behind Raikou, Zapdos, Jolteon, Sceptile, and Venusaur.

Against unknown moveset with clear skies, Ludicolo is 12th -- behind (among others) Shiftry, Meganium, and Vileplume.

They are not the best choices, but with the right weather can be okay.

His results are with Dodge Specials Pro (Realistic), where Exeggutor ranks 10th. With No Dodging, Exeggutor ranks 8th and Venusaur 9th (Magneton remains 6th). I guess Exeggutor is harder to dodge with.

That vine whip cool down is nearly half the cool down of bullet seed or ZH or extrasensory
