Weather occasionally disappears
I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, so I don't know how common it is, but on two separate occasions now, the weather has completely vanished from my game for a while. The weather menu and button just aren't there anymore, along with all indications of the game's environmental weather graphics. It wouldn't matter if the problem was only cosmetic, but it even seems to remove all weather bonuses as well.
The first time was two days ago when I was a passenger in a car, so I thought maybe we drove far enough to glitch the game by passing between different weather zones. But just now it happened again for seemingly no reason at all. I was sitting at home with cloudy weather, and saw a Makuhita at the pokestop 1/4 mile away, so I decided to walk over to catch it. But by the time I got there, the weather icon was gone, none of the pokemon around me had the swirling weather graphic, and nothing that I caught gave me the bonus stardust, or seemed like a boosted catch. None of my pokemon show boosted damage for any type of attack either.
Restarting the game multiple times makes no difference, and the only other thing I can think to try would be reinstalling the game, which I haven't done yet. The first time, the weather came back on roughly an hour later, just as suddenly as it vanished, but this time I'm still waiting. Is this happening to everyone sometimes?

Currently no weather in Bangkok Thailand. Weather button disappeared just as I was bearing down on a herd of Swinubs (was sunny thus boost to Ground). I will skip the Groudon raid in 20 minutes if weather does not return to boost it.
Thanks Niantic ... hunting weather boosted Mons was the only fun part of this Holiday event.
Added: it has been nearly 7 hours now without weather in Bkk. Clearly this is more than an outage or system failure. The only positive spin I can put on this is that without weather today we had a far greater diversity of spawns. Also I live in a "water biome ... lots of canals" so ended up catching seven Wailmers today. If that is the norm without weather then maybe not so bad.
