When will the next event arrive?

Please don't say that I am greedy. I am a player that started playing since the launch of the game, until it last year's Halloween I stopped playing due to my thesis completion. So, I didn't follow the game on last year's new year event.

Now that I have time, I would like to ask those who have been playing regularly when is the next event anticipated. The event in this sense mean like double candy, XP, or stardusts.

I have my pocket filled with star pieces and lucky eggs, so I would want to use them soon.

I wouldn't expect another event before Valentine's Day, which will likely give double candy.

If I recall last year correctly, the next event would be Valentine’s Day.

Last year, that meant lots of pink Pokémon’s. I live near a hospital where there was an abundance of Chansey’s spawning. I caught over 100 of them, and soon after gen 2 was released and Blissey broke the meta.

That must've been nice, I've still only ever seen one wild Chansey. Here's what that event looked like for me everywhere I went.

I didn't find a single wild Chansey, all mine were hatched. I don't recall.... Was there double XP at the time? It would help me get to 40 (if I haven't yet ;)

Last year, the Valentine's event gave double candy (including halved buddy distances), extra pink pokemon, and 6-hour lures. No exp boost, but it might be different this year.

Chinese/Korean/Japanese New Year is just two days after Valentine's Day, but Niantic are unlikely to care.

As the new year starts maybe a faster buddy walk rate and faster egg rate? Maybe a multiplied XP catch bonus like during fire and ice event? I wouldn't expect as much as events had previously given--more stardust and/or candy for egg hatches is possible. Maybe they 1.5 multiply stardust for egg hatches, then people grinding can 1.5 multiply that with a star piece
