The weather in my area changed from cloudy to rainy, and a warning is displayed along with it.
Translates to "Bad* weather warning: get more information from your local weather service"
*Bad weather as in storms, rainstorms and thunderstorms.
I think it's a bit silly that there is still a speed limit on many aspect of the game while going out in the woods in a thunderstorm at midnight is a-ok.
Has anybody seen a similar warning for other weather conditions?
It seems they are testing it. I just got a status change from Partly Cloudy to Extreme in perfectly calm weather. As a meteorologist I am 100% sure no "bad" weather is coming here.
Perhaps they get warning info from www.meteoalarm.eu
Yellow should not be dangerous weather, but may indicate things like chance of slippery roads or wind gusts.
They can't stop you from going out at Midnight in bad weather, potentially putting yourself at risk, but the speed aspect is to stop people from playing while driving, which could potentially hurt or kill people other than you. You should not be driving and playing pokemon go, so please don't call it silly that there is a speed limit on the app, as people other than you could be hurt or killed by your negligence.
