Ho-oh CP increased for catching; saves resources

Did a few raids earlier today and Solar Beam killed our group of 8 earlier bad. Lowest level 35. Beat it second go around and never noticed the CP. Just saw 68 at the end and though it was trash. Didn’t even notice the first two digits. It ran and I started hearing everyone else that caught there’s noticed they’re higher than level 20.

Checked my Journal and sure enough it was a 2868 CP that ran. This definitely saves rare candies and stardust if you want to power one up.

Well any Raid Boss that benefits off it’s weather.

Wow, that's just crazy! If I had to guess I'd say that's a level 25 Ho-Oh and as I've heard of lvl 35 wild catches (and caught one myself) I propose that weather grants a 5 level increase to Pokémon with matching type.

Yup weather can boost CP of raid boss. I just caught this one at this CP... did not power it up. Can’t calculate IV for some reason. CP is 2839

It's level 25. Either 77.8% or 80%. You have to click the "powered up" on the calculator.

Here you can see the CP

Isn't catch rate reduced as well because of the higher level, or does it still treat it as a level 20 in that regard?

It didn't feel any harder to catch than usual... took about 6 balls, all great curves..
