Ho-Oh raid availability extended?

Word out there, unofficial as of now, that Ho-Oh raids will be extended because of bugs and issues. Report on Go Hub:

https://pokemongohub.net/post/breaking-news/niantic-support-ho-oh-raids-will-extended/

I lost the opportunity for rewards and catching after a successful raid on Friday, so there's some logic in this. Anyone else have more official information? The old end date for Ho-Oh raids was 12/12, I'm curious to find out how long it will be extended. Is this all because of bugs with Gen3?

Of course, all of this could be idle chatter of little import.

Just wonder if they were gonna rerelease the dogs the 13th toward Christmas? Ho-Oh staying around might dampen some enthusiasm for them. Just speculation in a thread speculating about speculation

I'd love it if they re-released the dogs, I missed out on Raikou. But I suspect they will trot out Gen3 raids along with Gen3 later in the month.

What would be awesome would be if for the day before, of, and after Xmas, they let every legendary out all at once. A level 5 could be Suicune or Moltres, Lugia or Zapdos or Entei, etc. Every single one available. Fun (as long as it was just for a few days).

Ikr? I am already tired of Ho-oh. They need to mix them up a little more...like 2 or 3 at once or so... and bring the birds back.
