My first Ho-Oh!

Poor Golem and Raikou did not even get to use their charge moves because Solar Beam instantly knocked them out; I thought Electric was not weak to Grass? Vaporeon survived a little longer, then it was up to Gyarados and Dragonite to get the job done. With only eight balls, I used a Golden Razz and my first throw was a Great, which somehow managed to get it! CP 2179 and it was a wonder with ES/Solar! Ran it through the IV calculator and got 11A/13D/15S.

Congrats! That solar beam is wicked. It knocked out my Tyranitar before it got its charge move off too, wiped it completely out. Its kinda fun to watch.

Grass pokemon resist electric moves, not the other way around. Grass moves deal neutral damage to electric Pokemon.

I have a fully powered up Raikou that tanks at least one solarbeam.

Congratulations.

And, yeah, Solar Beam is a freakin' nightmare. The first time I faced it, I had 11(!) Pokemon faint before we beat it. It wasn't a large group though, but still.
Didn't even manage to catch it.
But I got a couple later that day and three more yesterday.

Took awhile to learn how to throw the ball, but now I'm doing better.

Fire blast in a small group (10 seconds left to win) took me 6 Golem 2 Ttar and 2/3 of an Omastar to beat...I can only imagine Solar Beam with that setup LOL.

When I fought Solar beam I used Dragonites exclusively and it was a large group so it was ok
