Do you fight alot?

No I would prolly only use Alakazam against poison and fighting mons. I dont have a PC one yet, but Im leaning towards making a 1100-1300 cp Alakazam's first, to use for training. Not sure if it will work cuz its made of glass but Im gonna try on my next batch of evolves. This would replace my current Hypno, Starmie and Slowbros with psychic.
To me, teir 1 means its a good attacker in general not in specific situations only. Rhydon is a good attacker if your a smaller level and have limited attack options and Rhydons are common. However any quick move that allows only one attack per dodge would automatically preclude it from being in the tier 1 category for me. Cumulative damage is too low and it makes dodging difficult which is exactly what a tier 1 attacker is not. Imo a tier 1 attacker must have a .5 sec quick move and a boss charge move and have the stamina and typing to take multiple popular defenders on a gym takedown.
I think gamepress should divide the attacker list into two types: ones for training and ones for taking down enemy gyms. Honestly Pidgeot, Raichu, Parasect, Tangela, Starmie, Omanyte, and dewgong are all better than Dragonite at what they do which is train gyms. Currently there are 2 ways to attack and nobody uses the same mons for both why should the "best of" list be grouped together? I think this would clear much confusion as these are two separate classifications and would provide a useful guide for players learning the game.
Off the top of my head my tiers would be...
1)Dragonite(DBDC is really that much better than the rest of the field, its pratically cheating)
1.5)Snoralax L/HBorBS, VapeAT/HP, Gyardos BorDB/HP, Dragonites with DB but not DC
2)Venusaur, Arcanine, Lapras, Rhydon
3)Gengar, Alakazam, Jolteon, Cloyster and many niche attackers (gaping flaws and difficult to use except in specific situations)
If you have the 6 mons in 1, 1.5 and 2(excluding Snoralax and Rhydon) you dont really need anything else.
Level 33 and "only" 2k gyms battles and 1k gym trainings. I only take around 5 gyms per day (not many in my area and not high level, between level 1-4 normally), I don't fight more often because of the lack of revives I get from pokestops since they made your mon faint when it is kicked out from the gym, I miss the old days when I could get 30 revives on a day...now I barely get 3-4, even when I visit 100 stops or so.. I also wonder how much money have they made from people purchasing extra bag space just lowering the rate of revives and high tier potions and increasing the normal potion haha
At level 32 I'm pretty lacking in the gym arena. Valors don't have a very strong showing in my area and I'm not interested in wasting a load of time tearing down a bunch of gyms just to have them reflipped before I can collect
Edit: don't mind me posting before finishing my post xD
Edit 2: I'm only at 211/1000 ace trainer when you are the first 3 to put in a gym.
