Gyarados & Raikou

I only got 1 Gyarados because i'm saving the candies for a Shiny (if i can caught it). Gyarados 15 A / 15 D / 14 HP -- B/C .. Do you think that i must TM his moves before the GenIII? maybe DT/HB

On the other hand I caught lot of raikous but all of them with terrible IV's, the best of them are:
14 / 11 / 11 (80%)
12 / 13 / 13 (84%)
Wich one do you power up? (they do not appear anymore in my zone).

Being that gen 3 is just around the corner I'd wait before you tm (I mean you've managed to make it this far without the gyardos right?)
Edit: I saw in another post and didn't really consider about the possibility of them legacy moving hydro pump. That might change your calculus (I don't think they will but stranger things have happened.) I definitely wouldn't worry about tm on the fast move though.

As far as the raikou I'd go with the one with the higher attack because the defense and stamina aren't drastically lower and also not as important since you can't place it in a gym anyways.

I would hold on powering up Raikou because Niantic can always drop all three legendary beasts some time in December - I don't know how likely that is to happen though. For me at least it would be golden opportunity to do so in addition to gen III. We've seen all three birds come back at once... so, we'll just have to wait and see how things will unfold.

When it comes to Gyarados HP is good choice so try and get Hydro Pump. If you focus on dodging I would keep Bite if I were you. Dragon Tail is more suited more defense but due to Gyarados double weakness to electric it's not so great idea to put him in gyms in my opinion.

Yes I'm waiting that Niantic release the three dog together with Ho-Ho like the birds with Lugia, that's why I not powered up them, I'll wait till December. Thanks for your answer.

You're welcome. I think Ho-oh will be probably available through ex-raid. (That's a story for another time but I don't think he will be that much of a game changer). Fortunately we know that Niantic is working to improve that system so maybe players will get invited with much higher rate.
