STARDUST DROUGHT SLIPPING AWAY

Free raid passes also give it.
...and if it wasn't for people paying more than their share of the development cost then we all wouldn't have the luxury of a game we enjoy without needing to contribute anything if we choose.
The game doesn't have an initial outlay, it doesn't have a subscription - the people that you are having a go at, are at least respecting the work done to get us the game.
Maybe the people that actual pay should be referring to free players as free-loaders - but it doesn't happen.
Long story short...free-to-play have no basis on which to think they are superior to players that fund the game.
I think you are joking, but yes, exactly. Similar to the first catch of the day bonus. Whatever the normal amount is for catching a pokemon of that evolution level, plus a 500 stardust bonus for catching a raid boss. An unevolved pokemon like Magikarp would be 100 stardust plus 500 stardust raid bonus.
I wonder if it's because less people are raiding. Yesterday around 4 PM I attempted to do a Suicune raid in Manhattan. It had 15 minutes left on the counter. I was shocked to see not a single player was in the lobby. Every other legendary raid in Manhattan will give you at least 10 people. Either people are raiding like they used to or people don't care about Suicune. I hope it's the latter.
We have Raikou right now. He is the best. But it‘s absolutely no comparison to the birds. We struggle to make people and I do tier 3 solos just in case to not lose the pass.
If we had Suicune the game would be dead here...
I think people are tired after almost half a year and it‘s getting cold.
But I don‘t think 500dust will motvate anyone...maybe double xp but not 500 dust which you’d collect much quicker with catching
What's the weather like in Manhatten?
Up here in Canada (Ottawa, to be precise), it's bloody cold, it's raining regularly and many of the gyms aren't in places where you can stay in your car or stay indoors to raid. Couple that with the nigh-useless Suicune and raiding has almost dried up in my area. On the Weekend I MIGHT be able to get into 1 Legendary raid over the two days, and that might be one of 3 or 4 raids that actually happen because we have to get the right people to the right place. (one of the gyms that regularly gets a Legendary raid is literally on the top of a hill in a park. It's a gazebo with open sides, so even though technically it's covered, if it's raining and windy you're not able to do a raid there.) Back in the summer and fall, you would normally get enough people to do any raid, at any time of day.
Now? I've watched a half dozen Tyranitar raids go untouched by the local Discord group because it was outdoors but in the -3C and lower weather, or it was raining and cold. Ttars used to get people out even in a rainstorm, but couple that with the cold (I've got an LG G6, which is nice in the cold, but my wife as an iPhone 6 that drops about 75% in an hour when used in the cold, and most of our group has iPhones) and people just don't come out anymore unless they can stay in their car.
About the only thing that might shake this is if we ended up with a MewTwo raid. Ha.
In Phoenix it is 84 degrees F and sunny. Just thought our neighbors to the north might like to know. Actually, we have a lot of Canadians visiting here starting this time of year and lasting through March. You should come, too. Raids are well attended, but it can be chilly in the morning and a light jacket is welcome. You can tell the Canadians - they just wear T-shirts all the time, even in the cool evenings when it gets down to like 50 F.
