Is magnezone expected to be relevent in the current meta?

With magneton raids out at the moment, I was wondering if there is any point in trying to get a bunch of them in view of magnezone when gen 4 comes out, or is raikou/zapdos still more effective as attackers?

Stat wise he should be way better but it all depends on his moves. I am stacking up a couple of them just in case

How do you think we can predict if Raikou or any other pokemon is better than Magnezone when its not even released?! It will all depend on its stats, moveset and on...

And as long as Magnezone retains the same type as Magneton, he'll have all those resistances. If you avoid Fire, Fight, and Ground (weak to), and dark, ghost and water (neutral), he'll resist everything, and double resist flying, poison and steel. Gotta like that, even before we know the stats and moves.

Since electric type attackers are pretty useful in this game, I would say it be a very good electric type attacker assuming it gets good moves. Also it's steel typing means it gets a whole bunch of resistances.

So yes, I think it will be.

Base stats with current PoGo calculations, assuming there isn't a change:

Zapdos
180 stm, 253 atk, 188 def
3330 max CP

Raikou
180 stm, 241 atk, 210 def
3349 max CP

Magnezone
140 stm, 238 atk, 217 def
2996 max CP

If Magnezone gets Thunder Shock or Spark/Thunderbolt, it would be close after adding in the few extra resistances to compensate for its lower HP.
