Have you powered Banette?

It is stated that is on par with Gengar in soloing FB Alakazam, mainly because of his neutrality from psychic moves, I have a lv 27 93 ivs SC/ ShB one and seems an interesting option, mostly because of the great set SC-ShB along with his good attack

I'm waiting to find one with top appraisal and 15 attack again (I have one but it evolved with Thunder instead of anything useful, and I am not wasting my last CTM on it). Luckily, there are enough shuppets at night.

No it's because the ghastly evolution line are all part poison as well which is what makes them weak to psychic.

No Poison. That is why Gengar takes super effective damage from Psychic.

I intend to power my 15a/14d/14s SC/SB banette to Lev 30 and depending on the performance, my 15a/13d/14s may follow.

Not enough balls=not enough stardust to worry about so-so niche. Not a lot of spinning time to compensate either.

I powered up my 13/15/15 SC/SB to level 30. The next quick-move breakpoint against Alakazam isn't until something like level 39.5, so for now, it will stay at level 30.

I see it as a fun alternative to Gengar, but it's not a game-changer or anything.

My Halloween trophy, a very high level "wonder-attack-impressed" Shuppet which evolved into SC/SB Banette, it ended up at CP 1775. But I have yet to find a good use for it... but it has a better moveset for attack than any Gengar I have.

Not powered any yet, but with a thousand candies from Halloween I'll evolve some high level Shuppets and any that get SC/SB are basically as good as Hex/SB Gengars without dust investment.

There was a post on Reddit of someone soloing an Alakazam only with Banettes and only needed 5, not amazing IVs required as well
