Hidden Power and Evolution

If a pokemon has hidden power and can evolve into a pokemon that still has access to hidden power does it keep the type or is it randomized upon evolution. I know in the main series the type would not change. Who knows about Go tho...?

It doesnt keep any old moves. It will evolve into random available moveset

In aware it doesn't keep old moves but in the main series Hidden Power was based off a pokemon IVs and therefore wouldn't change upon evolution. Im aware evolving may cause a pokemon not to keep Hidden Power as its move but I'm asking if you are certain. The Hidden Power type will also be rerandomized.

I already powered up and tried togepis and porygons. Its as random as it can get

If there were an IV based formula to predict what type of hidden power a mon would get I think it would already be published here some where. Therefore, I would assume it rerandomizes until proven otherwise.
