OMG! Charmeleon Boss! I will enjoy this!
But have they completely changed or are they just added to the others?

Are the old bosses home too or are those just more bosses? Because if the old bosses are gone lol

You mean you aren't excited about Nido-royalty as tier 4????????? It's just so difficult to find nidoran...

Right?!? It’s not like I hatched 10 of those things in a row during the Haloween event.

Confirmed on reddit that Gengar, machamp, alakazam, snorlax, ttar and lapras are still here. This is good news for rural players as some of these new tier 3 should be easy to solo.

Pretty much agree HowlerFan. Though Golem may also be easier to beat than Ttar, which could be nice for people like me that want better raid rewards and have a hard time finding enough people on the same team to raid higher tiers.

This list is pretty disappointing. Only Tier 3 seems decent with the exception of Ninetails.

What happened to Dragonite or Houndoom , Piloswine or some of the other “exclusive” Raid Bosses Japan once had as an event.

Exactly , I mean we already had Venasaur, Charizard and Blastoise as Level 4 Bosses, why are trying to repeat what Gen 2 or “second cycle” of Pokémon by back tracking.

Had 3rd forms of Gen Starters of Gen 1 as Raid Bosses which saved 125 candies per species; Used to hatch Elektabuzz, Magmar and Jynx from 10k eggs only to hatch baby forms now plus are taxed extra candy to obtain what we used to be able to get from a single hatch before then (Evovled forms).

Now Metapod!? He doesn’t even have a chance a being shiny!!!!

I mostly agree with all your points, except the Gen 1 starters. Having the fully evolved forms as tier 4s was all well and good for people who live in high population areas that hadn't got those mons yet, but for low population areas hardly anyone felt like going after those raids since the starters weren't very relevant to the meta at any point. Having the second stages as tier 2s does require 100 candies to get to the final stage, but makes obtaining them infinitely easier, much more accessible for newer players, particularly since the Gen 1 starters no longer hatch from eggs.

Edit: HowlerFan was faster

They are weaker/ less usefull but I like to see some movement. Niantic fucked up before by giving us all good bosses at once (Macho, Alkazam, Gengar,Ttar, Snorlax, Eggy, Rhydon(?)) now everyone is angry but it was clear they can't keep the pace.

Keep in mind: Every raid is still better than Suicune ;-) glad this fucker left Europe

I agree they effed up with the first raid bosses. But this is way too much overcompensation. I’m assuming these are replacements instead of additions. If so, then I presume Niantic is tired of selling raid passes. Because there is nothing here to interest me except maybe Golem. They should have added more rare and fringe-useful/lower top-tier mon like Houndoom, Donphan, Gyarados. But the nido royalty as l4? Metapod? I don’t even catch those in the wild.

Scizor is a beast, Porygon is super rare and Omastar has it's niche. The level 1 were always useless and level 2 we got no replacement for Eggy. Level 4 Golem instead of Ttar.
After all it isn't that much worse.

And it's new. Soloing a Machamp isn't a challenge anymore when you already beat him 10 times with every moveset and you know before the match started that there will be between 19-23 seconds left on the timer

Also I think they will rotate much quicker now. Because when Gen3 comes they have to bring new ones again

Well, this changes my next goal of getting teams to solo Gengar, Alakazam, Vaporeon and Machhap.

I assume Lvl 1&2 will be soloed easy. What about the Level 3s? I think the level 4s will be a waste of time as I already have a good ones of all of them but only have bothered to power up the Poliwrath and Golems.

So ironic that Niantic did this right after Gamepress published their Tier 3 Raid Solo Guide.

Machamp, gengar and alakazam are still here so don't change your goals. The new tier 3 should be super easy with the exception of ninetails. Omastar and scyther have easily exploitable double weakness and porygon has very low def.

Can’t even front cause Arcanine would still be harder than a Ninetails solo attempt. Solar beam ? Yawn.

No, not even close. Ninetales has the same def as flareon. He will be super hard to impossible to beat.

Not sure why they had to replace tier 1 and 2 while 3 and 4 had additions to their pool. There's probably people out there that raid Magikarps trying to get a golden one with high IVs.

Magikarps with the premier ball icon going up in value now that they're unobtainable /s

It's more variety, which can be a bad thing depending on how you look at it, as it means less chance of getting the raids you want.

There's more content for casual players but I think veterans don't want or need the new bosses, so it won't be long until they get bored of them.

The new level 3s either aren't challenging enough for solo players - Porygon has the lowest attack and defence of all level 3s, Scyther and Omastar have double weakness, or can't be done - Ninetales has the same defence as Flareon.

I don't want to seem pessimistic because I still enjoy the game, but I don't think new raid bosses will keep people playing much longer, it's not adding any more depth to the game.
