So i tried many times to solo raids lvl 3 without succeed. Today after job 2 vap raids came out and i tried both.
1st Vap: Water Pulse
The first try i select this:
Exeggutor BS/SB 2586 13/10/15 lvl 33.5 84.4%
Exeggutor BS/SB 2533 12/11/11 lvl 32.5 80%
Exeggutor BS/SB 2518 12/11/11 lvl 32.5 75.6%
Zapdos ZC 2827 13/14/12 lvl 30.5 86.7%
Raikou VS 2553 14/15/12 lvl 27.0 91.1%
Mewtwo PC/SB 11/15/14 lvl 31.5 88.9%
1st try: I dodge a couple of charge moves from vap, then i receive all the hits till i ran out of time.
2nd try: didnt dodge, just focusing on using as much charge moves as i could. Finally kill the vap. 5 seconds left.
2nd VaP: Aqua Tail :0 scary ...
1st try: Same team. Got killed almost all of my team, only M2 survive with almost full hp, hp on the vap like 5% when time out
2nd try: Same team again, worst performance. Vap finish with like 10-15% hp. Then i noticed something, i couldnt hit 2 Solar Beams because 2 of my Eggs got killed before charge move SB loaded completely. So i got it, the importance of taking the damage from vap´s charge move to load charge move more quick.
3rd try: Almost same team. M2 out, Jolteon in, here the stats
Jolteon TS/TB 2312 15/15/10 lvl 30.5 88.9%
I placed Jolteon first than my electric legendaries. Got timed out with the vap at like 1 freaking percent!, Zapdos almost died and i didnt use Raikou. Then i figured out that i need only 4 counters.
4th and final try:
I tried something, just gived some power like 4 times to jolteon, so it gets 2 more lvls and stats went like this
Jolteon 2395 TS/TB 15/15/10 lvl 32.5 88.9%
Then i fought the Vap one more time, 11 minutes before the raid finish, one of my Eggs fainted before using Solar Beam. got the yellow bar at 80 seconds, so i was thinking i will not make it. But somehow Jolteon resist a bit more and got a lot of TB to drop, so i finally killed the vap 5 seconds left with no need to use Zapdos and Raikou.
So those are my first lvl 3 solo raids, i feel really proud of my effort even i got kinda lucky :D
Also i want to find out what is the minimal lvl for mons to solo lvl 3 raids in general, on average. Anybody?
In order to improve you should put Raikou and Zapdos first, then your 3 Solar Beam Eggies. Timing out is the problem so DPS is vital.
It’s difficult to find the minimum level for soloing a boss. It’s dependent on the move set but a clearly inferior team will sometimes win because of luck with postponed charge moves from the boss. I want teams with at least 75-80% success rate and then Vaporeon is a problem. I’m waiting for Raikou to come to Europe now to improve my team.
