How do you select your second team for a raid?

I was wondering how you guys do this so you don't waste a bunch of time or how you get it to preset
Your second team because I was thinking about trying to 3 man Entei raid.

my theory is:
if you agree with 1st preset team the game pick, then you can pick six other mons as your first team. Then theoretically the game should pick those same six now as your second team.

That's exactly what I do when we are short-handed at raids. I'll take a peek at what the game chooses and if I like them I'll replace them with glass cannons for the first six and bring in the lineup the game chose next(it has always given me the same lineup when rejoining as it did initially).

This worked really well with Raikou, but the autoselect is a lot weirder with Entei.

In Entei case was simple for my trio fights: hand select 2 vapes and 1 Rhydon(I have a max rhydon while I don’t have a maxed DT/O Dragonite); rejoin after 3 to get the autoselected 4 golems and whatever (tyra and kabutops

If you are really serious about this, you need:
- 2 gyms nearby, with one being under the Entei boss occupation, the other being under enemy control.
- ability to tolerate mon being unhealed for the month of October.

PROCEDURE:
1. Enter raid and see which are auto selected.
2. For each undesirable auto-pick, battle damage it in the nearby enemy gym. You need to damage it enough so AI won't pick it again.
3. For 3-trainer team, flee after 3-5 mon fainted (# is depending on your mon level, moveset, type, etc).
4. Max revive fainted battle mon (partially damaged mon won't clutter your max revive screen because they are not fully fainted).
5. Jump back in with the revived, same team.

  1. You can battle vs. raid boss to faint your undesired mons. And I guess is quiker, in 5 minutes you can het a lot of damage to a lot of mons from Entei.
  2. If you don’t have iPhone the time for revive can cost ypu the win (coupled with initial delay on Android).

I don't need to select a 2nd team but if for some odd reason the majority of the players errored out and couldn't rejoin and we didn't decide to back out all the way to pick them back up again to retry, I would use 6 max revives and revive the initial 6 I entered with. They should be close to the top or very close if they're your "top" choices to begin with. No reason you should be going in with subpar Pokemon that will force you to have to scroll down a few rows to find them to revive them.

Determine who u want on your second team and have their name start with a symbol such as ! Or #. Before you start the raid, when u r choosing ur first team, make sure it is sorted alphabetically when u r done choosing and about to raid. You can quickly choose the 3-4 Pokémon needed to cover the rest of the raid time.
