Vaporeon vs Golem for Entei

What do you guys think?

Right now, I have 2 good Vapes and 3 golems and need to fill the last spot for some 3 man attempts.

Should I power up a Vape for 3-3 setup? Dust is not an issue.

Entei was VERY easy to take down in our european raids. Wouldn't invest in counters for entei.

The minimum I've done is on 6 (cakewalk). I talked to another player I know that lives in my area who did it on 4 players and he is ''only'' lvl 31.

Entei has the classical fire syndrome. Great attack stats with powerful moves but a painfully bad defensive typing.

Its defense is on par with that of lapras. 95% of all pokemons has lower stamina. How is that bad?

Rhydon and golem have low DPS ??

The problem is fire; weak to more or less everything that people have massed; golems, Vapes, Rhydons.

Rhydon, Golem and Vaporeon have low DPS. No mistake.
No, the problem is not fire. Fire is weak to 3 types and resisted by 4. Grass is far worse, weak to 5 and resisted by 7.

I agree, I don't consider myself an extraordinary player, here are my top 6 Rhydons and my top 6 Golems (I have 4 more of each--not in a rock area either). 10 Vaporeons 2550 to 2850. Six 2800+ Gyarados. Etc, a million billion things to combat it

I wouldn't worry about it.

I did multiple enteis with 3 other average players, would win with like 20 seconds left. Entei is easy.

just use your tyranitar/gyarados as the last slot and be done with it.

Personally I'd go with Vaporeon as they are more survivable, plus Water Gun builds energy fast so you're less likely to get fucked over by the dodge glitch.

Or just use any level 30 counter that's already powered like Gyarados or Rhydon. They aren't as good but Entei isn't difficult, I've done it with a group of 4, 3 of us are level 33 and I was 34 at the time, mostly using level 30 Pokemon, and we weren't running with full squads of Golems/Vaporeons, we had some slightly suboptimal counters like Gyarados, Tyranitar and Rhydons and still able to do it with about 15s to spare and none of us needed to rejoin.

You don't really need to power up past 30 vs Entei, Vaporeon reaches max damage with Water Gun (5) at level 24, Golem reaches max damage with Rock Throw (12) at level 30, assuming 15 attack IV, so there's not any significant breakpoint past 30, which probably helps with making Entei so easy to take down, as you don't have to be as high of a level to hit important breakpoints.

wouldnt rhydon be just as good if not a better counter to entei than golem if it has mud slap with eq or se?

If they both have Mud-Slap, then Rhydon is better. But I think Golem with Rock Throw is even better.
