Thoughts on power up glitch?
I just hit level 38 and have several 37.5 Pokemon. I'm currently on the fence with either taking them to 39 or 40. I want to say that I have always obeyed the ToS of Niantic and am well aware that this is classified as an exploit. I was curious on how many people have used the power up glitch to get to 40 and what their general opinion of this method is?

I am against it, not because it is against the ToS (there is nothing in there to say that 39 is the limit) but because it is clearly a glitch, so players in the know have an advantage over players who don't know. I consider this unfair. This is why I stopped at 39 despite the temptation. That being said, big part of the temptation was the old gym system where every point of cp mattered. I would consider the matter less of an issue now. On the other hand, the costs of powering up to 40 are prohibitive, it does not give you any material advantage and you won't get that nice feeling of seeing the power up button disappear. So why do it?
Niantic have a massive bug in the system and they have not bothered to fix it since day one.
It isn't like they don't know - people have claimed to report the problem for a LONG time.
However, intentionally doing 'the trick' is not the only way to achieve this.
It is entirely possible to go over your possible level while powering up, simply by encountering lag. If you press the button, then lag, and press again - when the lag spike ends it is sometimes possible to get an extra power up, beyond what you normally should be able to.
Clearly Niantic want us to get them to lvl40...they hard coded it in the game.
Clearly they can not punish everyone who has a mon with a level over their limit (bugged limit) because they may be punishing legit players who experienced lag.
The question shouldn't be..."should we do it".
The real question is, when will Niandick get around to actually fixing one of the most well know and long standing bugs in the game?
