I just hatched a 100% Eevee. What would be the best use of it?

Evolve it now, or hold on to it?

I'm leaning with Espeon, but wanted some opinions.

Espeon or keep for future eeveelutions

What do you have regarding Eeveelutions? Choose the one you need most for a raid team.

I only have one Espeon that is 96% with Confusion/Psychic and have already used all of the name tricks.

I may wait, since Mewtwo is coming out soon.

Contrast! I'll probably evolve it to vape, if for some reason you haven't used name trick yet. Otherwise it'll be lame to get flareon or jolteon while they already outclassed by dogs, espeon outclassed by mewtwo and umbreon is useless since prestiging is gone.

So, conclusion is: if you have already used Rainer nickname (which is high likely) keep it for future Eeveelutions.

And that is why I'm so happy no to have used Rainer yet, after the catch of a level 25, 100% Eevee the other day.

So what? Being outclassed doesn't mean they are useless. Flareon and Espeon still have top 10 neutral DPS.

And who cares about top 10 neutral damage when you always have Tyranitars (easy obtainable in raids) and Dragonites which are the best overall attackers in the meta.
I have never used a Flareon in a battle except the Exeggutor and Venusaur raids (didn't have Moltres back then, nor Entei).

Espeon is the most consistent good evolution choice right now. The one hesitation I would have is that Mewtwo is coming soon and will be a much stronger psychic attacker. I guess it depends on how many Mewtwos we can reasonably expect to catch.

Unfortunately the best reason to go for Umbreon is to add to a gym with the other Eeveelutions in it.

Vaporeon is great, but I'm assuming you have already used the renaming tricks to guarantee the three original Eeveelutions. At this point, compared with Raikou and Entei, I would not want to power up another Jolteon or Flareon.

Glaceon and Leafeon are both probably at least a year away, and there will probably be better attackers of their types. Sylveon is at least another year after that.

I might hoping by the time gen 4 is released Niantic will have implemented some form of direct player to player competition, which would give umbz some use ::))

When you have two decent Espeons you really don't need another one no matter how good. It's practically only in Machamp and Gengar raids you use them.

I wouldn't stop powering Flareon and Jolteon just because "there's a better version". I look at the base stats and movesets, not competitors.
Flareon having the top 10 neutral DPS is enough to justify powering up, even with competition.

just save it, or espeon if anything, but i'd save it, umbreon is useless, its a trophy after all. plus you can get usable vapor, jolte, flareon in raids easily.

I would make an Espeon, since it's the only perfect eevolution I'm missing.

Espeon is a good choice. It sounds like most folks are going to TM for shadowball or Focus Blast on Mewtwo, so having another pure psychic attacker can be helper for raids.
