You can spin poke stops (not sure about new gym stops) and you are alerted to nearby pokemon. You can't catch them with the watch, but it serves as an indicator to power up the app, i guess. Unfortunately it does suck battery life, even if you are just tracking. You can't have it on all day as you roam through your office. Also, mine has a tendency to stop tracking without warning. Not sure if its because i was motionless for a while or what. All that said, it is still an option i use especially while siteseeing. It allows me to stock up on items but still be part of the moment with people around me.
Apple Watch
Does the Pogo Apple Watch app have any practical function? It's appears to be a walk/egg tracker without much else of use. I'm still getting my feet wet with apple products, so maybe I'm missing something.

I was really excited when it came out, but rarely use it. It may have improved, but the stop-spinning mechanism was extremely slow when it came out, especially on my (original) watch — the newer ones may perform better. Also, it sucks the battery down. So yeah, I agree that it's not practical to have on all the time. If it isn't too laggy, it's cool to have on while you're walking around if you want to know if a really good Mon shows up, but there's no guarantee you won't miss that Mon anyway. I like the concept and the interface, but the execution didn't work for me.
