Which "Best of Type" Pokemon Will Be Replaced in Gen 3?
(And which will remain the best of their type?)
For example: I know Tyranitar will still be the best Dark type once Gen 3 drops, but what of the other types?

Regice has -13 attack (you were incorrect about their attack stats in your reply, RL64) and -20 hp but +107 def compared to articuno
Articuno takes double super effectiveness from rock whereas regice takes a single super effectiveness,
Regice resists ice damage whereas articuno doesn't
Articuno is weak to electric whereas regice isnt
What articuno will have going for it typing-wise is neutral damaefrom fighting where as regice takes SE damage
If the OP was asking for the highest dps output, I'd say articuno, but the terms the OP used the words "best of type" which doesn't imply highest dps output; regice will be able to last muuuch longer
With that being said articuno is one of my favorite legendaries and regice looks dumb imo

Basically no current best pokemon will be outperformed by any of the new gen 3. Only possible exception is Dragonite. I would expect Niantic giving Salamence best moves to force us to invest in it. Otherwise, many people already have really good dragonite and salamence would only be a new pokedex entry.
