Are you experiencing excessive "Network Errors" today?

The game has been almost unplayable for me today, at least gym battles, because of continuous "Network Errors". Are you experiencing the same? Also, what is a "Network Error"? I think it is a Niantic only problem, i.e. it is a "Niantic Network Error." None of the other functionality of my phone seems diminished. Maybe this has something to do with the roll out of the legendary dogs.

I get that every day, so I can't say today is any different. I usually have to restart the game about 5 times vs. every defender before I can actually manage to win once.

I did two raids today and the second was quite bad.

I've been ranting at the phone all day today while doing raids. Freaking Weezing keeps owning me while I lag like a snail. I'll beat that thing one day though...
