Why is Tyranitars Fire Blast so underrated?

We had tons of discussions about this back when fighting Blissey was so important and raid bosses and TMs were not a thing. Now that you can get something like crunch which has STAB and SE why would your fire mon be Tyranitar? There are other fire mons out there for that. Maybe there will be some niche out there one day but for the things we use Tyranitar for right now there isn't much room for FB. And with gyms all being laughable now this narrows the field to raid bosses. Since a FB Tyranitar is not a highly useful mon for those it ends the discussion.

Those video comparisons are all neutral damage against normal type opponents. When you start factoring in type advantages, the Stone Edge and/or Crunch movesets should be much better. Unless you are trying to use Tyranitar against a steel or grass type defender for some reason.

And the problem there is that steel and grass type defnders have better fire counters. Many of the things tackled by Crunch or Stone edge do not have a much better or no better counter than Tyranitar.
