Wich new things you may wish for the next gen?
They can introduce a fast and a charged HM, to teach pokemon an hidden move that they can't learn normally, so, most pokemon will have an extra hidden fast and charge move (mostly from the HM Movepool) so a gyarados may have in his movepool Bite/Dragon Tail/(Whirlpool) --- HydroPump/Outrage/Crunch/(Waterfall)
this can give pokemon extra option, without messing too much with the RNG, plus they should add the possibility to keep the pre evo moves, and maybe also add breeding for special moveset, so maybe a rhyhorn can be breed with rock throw/rock slide, and evoved in a rock throw/rock slide Rhydon

Abilities are a must for the 3th gen, so the don't release a god like Slaking, or a completely pointless shedinja, so maybe traunt can increase the cooldown between moves (reducing dps) while shedinja can only have something like max 20HP but wonderguard will reduce any non SE damage to 1HP (like splash)
I would like more info on battle stats for individual pokemon instead of just that 5 sec loading screen going into a battle and that idea of HM sounds like it would add more of a tactical approach when PvP is released. I would also like a tracker on pokestops similar to how gym badges are now so it would have more of a point getting new stops similar to geo caching.
