Game Crashed During Hatch, lost Pokemon

Game crashed during hatch animation.

Restarted game. Journal indicated a Growlithe was hatched but no where to be found in Pokémon inventory.

Happened to anyone? Is this a known issue?

I have had it happen....but when I look in my storage, and sort by 'Recent' then the hatch will be in the first slot.

If you have lost the hatch altogether then this is something new to me.

I usually sort by "recent" and would find it.

This time I lost the hatch altogether and it's something new to me as well.

I don't care about the growlithe but this is a pretty scary error to have and Niantic should fix asap.

You might have accidentally transferred it, though.

This guy is right.
Egg cracks before you see the animation.
If you mass transferred just before your egg hatch, game bugs out and you restart. Ofc there will be no growlithe or w/e u hatched.
But i believe you got the dust and candies for it when it ''actually'' hatched.

I had a crash during the hatch animation. I got star dust, but never found out what the hatched mon was, and didn't get a new mon in my bag.

This happened to be last Oct/Nov. I was biking and I knew about 3 eggs were about to hatch. The animation for the first hatch started but never finished. The game just hanged and I let it sit for awhile. Upon restarting the game, I was short of 3 eggs but no new mons after checking my storage with "recent" sorting

Yes. This happned to me once. Exactly as you described. App crashed when hatching animation began and the pokemon never appeared in my inventory only in the journal. I am sure I didn't transfer it accidentally. It was just a random 5k pokemon so I didn't care. I'm glad it didn't happen on a larvitar...
