SW for Dragonite

Ok, a bunch of legendary raids have made fTMs surplus. I've got 3 lvl 30+ Dnites with SW/Hu or SW/Or, is there any particular reason why I should keep any SW Dnites?

Dnite might get a new move set so it might be useful to keep a couple around when that happens.

I wouldn't transfer ANY Dragons. They're too rare, and even lower IV's still kill most everything.

Fairly sure he's asking whether there's any reason to keep them with SW instead of TMing them into DT Dragonites.

I can assure you that I have no intention to transfer any lvl 30+ Dnite! ?

What I really want to know are the relevant counters in the future where non-STAB SW will outpower STAB-DT and I don't have the energy to figure it out myself.

The Slight Speed Advantage. And possible move reworks/buffs.

ATM if you have the TMs spare its better to do so. But you never know what the next update might bring. (I trashed half a dozen SC/SB gengars after the halloween event. walked (skated) thousands of km with lapras and snorlax as buddies, trashed several rhydons, golems and machamps with great IVs and bad movesets. Regret all of that now...)

Thx. That's a good idea, to keep some for future gym rework (which will be inevitable after raid hausse is over.

But are there any attack situations where SW will shine?

I have a Sw/Dc as one of my choices for clearing out low motivation gyms. Steel Wing cuts through rock types really fast, and Dragon Claw makes quick work of everything else. Only reason I haven't used a fast TM yet is its 56% IVs. (Wild caught at level 27, IIRC, powered up to level 30.)

SW will forever suck donkey doo. i wish they kept DB and made SW legacy. And is it just me or does DT kinda feel and look like the SW animation with some purple splash on your opponent?

Keep at least 1.
SW is the highest DPS fast move in the entire game.

I asked myself the same question for my 3 SW Dragonites. After the release of Lugia I decided to change all into DT. The main reason was that Lugia means that Ho-oh will be available one day and with Lugia having ES as his best move, the quick move (it's also the highest dps move for ho-oh) you will want on Ho-oh will be SW, so if SW will be a supreme counter for a matchup most of us will take ho-oh instead of Dragonite.
