What's your Biome consist of?
So I'd like to hear what types of Biomes you live in and what are the Pokemon that spawn the most outside of ALL Bugs, Birds, Rodents to include Snakes. Does Eevee count too as a common?
I live in a Desert Biome. Outside the pests these are the ones that roam the most.
Growlithe - Seen 805. Caught 733
Houndoor - Seen 569. Caught 536
Abra - Seen 461. Caught 409.
Mankey - Seen 409. Caught 383
Eevee - Seen 505. Caught 471
Snubbull - Seen 466. Caught 437
After that it's going to be Geodudes, Sandshrews, Rhyhorns, Cyndaquils and Teddiursa.

I've only caught one Shiny and it was during the Water event.
I've had this question since then too and maybe you might have some insight. From your four shiny Karps, are they mixed genders or all one gender? I've caught only one like I mentioned above; however it shows I've caught both a male and female Shiny. Was wondering if it's a bug or not.
It's all good. Appreciate the feedback anyways. When the water event first rolled out, it took a little longer than usual for iOS users to get it. A few days actually. I'm just hoping that I didn't actually run into another shiny before then, but since it wasn't updated to the latest version , it showed up as a normal Karp and got transferred but who knows.
The park nearby is pretty much filled with dust fodder too, but it has a huge amount of nests of the same type. Right now it's filled to the brim with Growlithe. So I'm gathering as many puppies as I can while it lasts.
The only parks that spawn bug types outside of nests are pretty far from my home. I have yet to get a scyther, and the only nests that spawn them spawn one every few seemingly random hours and are far away.
Get you as many as you can. Arcanine is a very underrated Pokemon in my opinion in PoGo. He has like 15 different moveset combinations that consists of 4 types. Granted some are now Legacy like Bite, Bulldoze and Flamethrower but Snarl/ Wild Charge is probably my favorite combination to really surprise the enemy while defending. Can also be used if you're missing something in your Line Up against a Lugia Raid if it doesn't have Hydro Pump. Great Pokémon overall.
Mixed Water and Ice, probably thanks to the river running through the middle of the town.
Water - See pretty much every water type fairly regularly, with the exception of Totodile and Qwilfish. Draitini quite a lot as well.
Ice - So many Jynx! Sneasel, Swinub, and the occasional Lapras.
Other than that, see alot of Teddiursa as well. Reasonable amount of Psychics too, but some types (like Exeggcute) are rare - we were plagued by Drowsee at one point, but thankfully that stopped.
I think my biome is very similar to yours. Outside of Ekans who is the clear winner. My most common are:
Geodude: seen 1580, caught 1370
Sandshrew: seen 1521, caught 1224
Rhyhorn: seen 1338, caught 1254
Mankey: seen 1081, caught 931
Growlithe: seen 1074, caught 881
From gen 2: sentret, natu, snubbull and houndoom.
But on the contrary abra, eevee and teddiursa are not ver common.
I used to live in a very dominant grass biome. I recently moved about an hour away and, while it's still grass, it's nowhere near like it used to be.
Bulbasaur: Seen 178. Caught 166
Oddish: Seen 328. Caught 319
Bellsprout: Seen 254. Caught 243
Exeggcute: Seen 354. Caught 343
Tangela: Seen 37. Caught 35
Chikorita: Seen 108. Caught 101
Sunkern: Seen 126. Caught 124
I thought I had a lot of catches with these, but after seeing everyone else's totals, mine are tiny in comparison lol. I guess I just don't catch as many as I used to when the game was newer.
I would like to add:
Eevee - Seen 890. Caught 838.
Snorlax - Seen 22. Caught 22.
Teddiursa - Seen 282. Caught 263.
