Machamp Soloing

Alright so, After looking at some pokemon on this website..... Everyone always says Eggy, Espeon, Alakazam are the ones that usually need to be in your group.... also Hurricane Dnite. But why not Scyther? Why not Crobat? They will both be doing Super Effective + STAB if they both have flying moves + will double resist/be immune to All Machamps fighting moves. AKA take .51 DMG If you level these two all the way up im sure throwing them at the end with eggy and Alakazams is not a bad idea. Anybody try to solo with these two?

True, to best honest i think i need a Very Good Hurricane Dnite for soloing Machamp.

Wondering the same thing, probably because base stats too low? Would be interesting to plug them into the breakpoint spreadsheet that was on TSR and linked here a week ago or so, to see the damage numbers (inflicted and received) vs a Machamp boss.
Also, it's easy enough to get an army of Espeon, I'm about to get my 4th (2 with psychic, 1 with FS - I might take a chance with TM if I get Psybeam)

Go figure i have one Espeon and it has Psybeam.... Of course my luck.....i have received 1 Focus Blast and 0 Shadow Ball out of 6 Evolves on Alakazam.

I might be in the minority, but I don't mind Psybeam. You can get off three in the time you can get off one Psychic before fainting against a Raid Boss.

I had psybeam in my only espeon so I decided to walk a high CP eevee and evolve it to espeon - got futuresight. This is a cheap way (no or minimal stardust) to get another solid psychic attacker to solo machamp.

My lineup
1. Gengar lvl 32 SC/ball
2. Dnite lvl 33 DT/h
3. ESpeon lvl 32 ZH/FS
4. ESpeon lvl 30 c/psychic
5. Alakazam lvl 33 Pc/psychic
6. Eggs lvl 31 C/Psychic or Alaskan lvl 31 pc/FS
I've never had trouble beating Machamp solo, Gengar is a stud I start him first does massive damage and can get 3-4 Shadow balls off
Dnite is the MVP with hurricane does big damage and bulky
I dodge all charge moves for the most part unless I miss it

Crobat's atk is meh.So, no.

You don't power up Scyther. Its stat isn't that great. And you are better of evolving it to Scizor with a good moveset before spending resources on it.

Scizor is not a flying type and does not have any flying move. It also takes neutral damage from fighting because of steel typing. It's not that hard to look up this info, you know.
