Dazzling Gleam Alakazam

I have an 83% C/DG Alakazam that happens to be level 30. Is this a useful moveset, or should I use a TM?

I already have an 87% PC/FS and 91% PC/FB, both level 30.

Still double effective to use for machamp, I'd save the TM's

Dazzling Gleam is defensive since it is a double bar charge move and counters Dark-types. I would consider using one for a STAB move unless you plan on using it for that purpose

I was thinking he'd be useful as another psychic glass cannon if I get FS, or I could even use him against Alakazam if I get SB.

I have a 100% Alakazam with PC/DG. I'm still trying to get a charged TM.
I also have a 91% Alakazam with PC/FS, and a 84% level 30 Abra.

Does defense really matter for an Alakazam? Even if they re-work the gyms again, won't he always be too fragile?

I think I'm going to use a TM on him. I don't foresee Alakazam ever becoming a relevant gym defender.

Just looking at the type chart, it seems like the only thing that DG might be useful for is attacking future Dragonite raid bosses, but I doubt that would be better than ice moves. Otherwise FS is better against fighting and FB is better against dark.

Does all that sound right?
