Where is a friend system at?!

Why in god's name is the game out for almost a year and you still can't add your facebook friends to a friend list in game so you can watch their collection, badges and recently visited gyms and stops? I don't even know who plays the game outside of a couple of friends which go out with me and we trade a few messages to set something up.

Come on.. this is niantic, they can't even fix their Trainer Club login.. how in the seven hells should they manage a Facebook login to connect with friends?

I my facebook friends would be allowed to know I play and how much I play I would quit...and Niantic lose my money

EDIT: I met a lot of friends ON THE FIELD, playing the game, and number of friends grew a lot especially with raids.
