Should I be mad? (Charge TM)

I've been very conservative with the TM's. I've only used them on 100% sure things. (2 SW/HB Dragonite, Machamp with bullet punch & heavy slam, etc). But yesterday I got a charge TM from a Snorlax raid and decided to take a gamble. I used it on my Alakazam C/Focus Blast hoping to get C/Future Sight and instead I got this.....

Well, it is still good on defense.

I don't think I want to use the highest attack Pokemon, currently in the game, for defense. lol.

Could he be good against maybe a Mewto in the future? Metwo is weak to ghost moves. They both resist each other's psychic moves. Idk... :(

Easy rule: If there are three charge moves,
(1) perfect
(2) ok
(3) bad
and you want to go from (2) to (1), be sure you have got two charged TMs at least, so you can gamble again when you get (3) on your first try.

Good rule. Yeah, I knew it was a gamble. I was...just very tempted to make that 97% IV Alakazam, that I've had for a long time, into a C/FS one.

I thought I was in a great position to gamble with 3 TMs but still got RNG fucked. 3 TMs but no Overheat Flareon. It was a sad day.

That means getting Overheat on my fucking FORTH try will become the best case scenario at this point.

With a charged TM and three charged moves, each try is a new cointoss. Three fails are 1/8-chance, reason to be sad indeed, but - shit happens.

There may a wrong image be painted, as those, who often fail to get their move tend to write a posting, and those, who get it with their first try, tend not to do so.

Yes. To add to my rant, the TMs were used right after my Eeveelution attempt, which in itself should grant a 1/3 chance of getting Overheat.

So all things considered the odds were 2/3 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2...

Making it my worst PoGO RNG fuck moment ever! Haha.

Until I have multiple TM's, only the no-brainers get one. The fact that Machamp and Alakazam are raidable makes me less likely to try on them.

He is a good option against psychic types with focus blast because he will not be weak to it like the dark types are, plus he will resist their psychic attacks.
