Best alternatives?

Level 36 Trainer

I'm in a similar position to other Trainers recently - lack of Dust (~200k) and high-quality Mons with strong move sets to power up!

My question is: What alternative Monsters are useful now for taking down Gyms and helping out in Raids?

I've read multiple posts about best Counters but a) I either don't have the move sets or b) I don't have enough candy/dust to immediately power them up.

Are the following useful to power up? Or, should I grind it out for more candy/dust and/or use TM?

1) Gengar - 93% - CP1480 - Lvl 20 (12/15/15) - Sucker/SBall
2) Crobat - 91% - CP1739 - Lvl 25 (14/15/12) - Air Slash/SBall
3) Clefable - 96% - CP1338 - Lvl 20 (15/14/14) - Zen/Psychic
4) Feraligatr - 96% - CP1779 - Lvl 23 (15/14/14) - Water Gun/Ice Beam

Thanks!

I would probably grind it out. The main potential strong metamon on that list is Gengar if you feed it a fast TM. Is he worth the dust? Could be. Depends on your overall set of mons.

fast Tm will grant you Hex which is only ok; legacy Shadow claw is the one that makes Gengar a star.

Non of those. Save your valuable dust, until the next gym rework or until legendary pkm will be released. Then you will know, where you really need it.
Those Pokemon you suggest are pure trophies at the moment.
