Incentive for defending gyms

Definitely! It would be an incentive for me at least to increase your reward levels based on your gym defending progress. But not based on that medal, which is way too easy (in one week or less you may get the gold medal). I would base it on gym badges. You get more coins/stardust from a gym you achieved the gold badge. That would encourage and actually reward gym control. The way it currently is makes no sense

I definently like that Idea. This paired with getting coins every hour instead of when they come back. That would fix the Gym scene and definently make me play more.

I like this idea, though I think it needs to be tied to a specific gym. The general gold badge is too easy - I would have it by now as well if my current pokes were kicked out (sitting at 976).

The bronze and silver badges are fairly easy to obtain for individual gyms. Maybe give a coin bonus to Pokemon defending those particular gyms?
